Advertisements also arrive on Instagram, very much in the style of Facebook.
The time has come to push monetization more on the Instagram platform: the in-app advertising circuit has indeed been launched.
At the time of writing, the news resembles more of a rumor than a fully activated feature.
The reason is simple: the website Adweek released the news that advertising videos have appeared on Instagram.
All of this is true, but it should be specified that the appearance and viewing of these video ads have not yet been rolled out to all Instagram accounts, but only to a small portion of them.
Therefore, this is still a preliminary phase of implementing the innovation, although it’s said to be a time after the testing phase: these tests were conducted over the past six months.
It is therefore reasonable to think that from now on, in a few days, the novelty will be propagated to all servers and will therefore be effectively visible to every subscriber.
For the moment, it has been decided to launch this advertising application starting with accounts and the US network, and then in the coming weeks, it will also break into Europe.
In particular, according to the previews released by Adweek, the first public partners to want to experiment – adhering to Instagram’s initial project – would be Disney, Activision, Banana Republic, Lancome, and CW.
The first videos visible in the feed of images uploaded by users range from a minimum of 6 seconds to a maximum of 15. These are exclusive video clips made to circulate on the Instagram platform: companies, apparently, have committed not to distribute the same video content on other social channels.
A “first,” so to speak, that will certainly not be long in arriving in Europe, although it is not possible to know when at the moment.
