The iOS update to enable multi-account has finally been made available on Instagram.
New features are coming to the social platform Instagram: an update for iOS devices has been announced that will enable the “multi-account” functionality.
Until now, in fact, to use and manage multiple Instagram profiles, users were forced to use essentially two solutions:
- choose to use applications external to Instagram, i.e., third-party ones.
- continuously log out and then log back in to switch from one account to another.
In the first case, the most evident risk is the loss of “certain” and direct control over privacy, as an additional application would come between the user and the other application, with not always transparent exchanges of information and data.
In the second scenario, however, the time loss is evident; moreover, there is a greater risk of error in using one account instead of another.
The changed situation will therefore allow users to use multiple accounts on Instagram with simplicity and speed.
These are useful and important details, especially for those who manage numerous company accounts for work.
Managing many profiles simultaneously in this way will become much more intuitive, allowing users to keep the situation under control more easily.
To start using Instagram’s multi-account feature, simply go to the Settings menu. From there, click on the new “Add Account” option, and then enter the username and password.
Once this is set up, from the second login onwards, you will no longer need to enter your login credentials.
Currently, Instagram has decided to allow the addition of a maximum of 5 accounts through the same main profile.
There is no news regarding the release date of the corresponding update for Android, however, it is thought that the arrival of multi-account on this platform will also be imminent.
No need to worry for iOS owners who do not yet see this new feature: the update is being rolled out, it will only take a few hours.
For those in a hurry, it is possible to manually download the upgrade to version 7.15 via the App Store.
