Hyperlapse, Instagram’s App for Time-Lapse Videos

It’s called Hyperlapse and it’s the new app from Instagram for videos created with the time-lapse technique.

Instagram is booming and growing more each day: the app founded on image sharing – recently acquired by Facebook’s staff – is increasingly used worldwide.
Building on its great success, here comes a decidedly important innovation that is poised to further propel the photo-based social network: the Instagram team has indeed announced the launch of Hyperlapse, an app for creating videos.
Not just simple clips to shoot and upload, making them visible to the extensive following of an account.
Hyperlapse effectively allows for the creation of videos based on the time-lapse technique, which “stitches” individual photos taken in rapid succession and edits them to create motion, similar to video recording but at a faster pace.
With “Hyperlapse from Instagram,” everything happens quickly but, above all, automatically, meaning there’s no need to use other software or apps to edit and produce a complete time-lapse film.
In a single app, you have everything necessary to achieve the desired effect: shoot images in rapid sequence, “glue” them together, compose the video, and then post it for your followers to enjoy.

Sharing is certainly not mandatory, as the result can also be simply saved on your device, without proceeding to dissemination on Instagram and Facebook, the other two “family” apps directly linked to Hyperlapse.
As of this writing, the new app Hyperlapse from Instagram has only been made available for download through the App Store, thus only for iOS devices.
There is no trace yet of an application for Android, but an release in that sense will certainly not be long in coming in the next few weeks.
