The Facebook application for iPad has finally been made available: download is now live via the App Store.
After months and months of waiting, iPad owners can also download the official Facebook application. Already available for download via the App Store, it is also available in Italian, much to the delight of those who don’t particularly enjoy using apps in English.
Here at FullPress, we have also discussed the probable launch of the Facebook app for iPad multiple times: that it was ready was no longer a mystery to anyone since July.
Apparently, however, the agreement between Apple and Facebook was not reached quickly, although a couple of weeks ago signs of a thaw were evident.
It is no coincidence that external observers thought the official presentation of the Facebook app for iPad would take place on October 4th, coinciding with the Apple event that delivered the new iPhone 4S to the media and users.
One of the most striking features of the Facebook app for iPad is the ability to view photos and albums uploaded to the social network in full screen.
The menu is located on the left and broadly groups all useful functions for managing one’s profile.
Another very interesting feature is the ability to watch HD videos: high definition at your fingertips on iPad already makes us think about the future development of further functionalities, perhaps for watching HD movies or television programs, always broadcast in high definition.
It is undoubtedly still too early to talk about these new – but probable – frontiers of enjoying the Facebook app for iPad, but the fact that they have already been implemented is a good sign.
