Twitter Moments, new feature coming soon: what it is and how it works

Twitter introduces “Moments”, a new feature being tested in the United States.

To simplify content consumption on Twitter, the development team has focused on a new feature.
Its name is “Moments” and, as of this writing, it has only been activated for users of the US platform.
Twitter Moments will allow for better organization of the extremely fast flow of content shared on the microblogging social network.
A lightning bolt icon has appeared on the interface: by clicking this virtual button, users can access “groups” of topics, all organized.
Links, videos, images, and accounts discussing a specific topic will be consolidated into a single, comprehensive “stream,” ensuring continuous and timely coverage.
As Twitter Moments is used, these “macro-categories” of topics of personal interest will be formed, allowing users to follow the flow of information more easily, with precise and targeted content, without wasting tweets or time.
This has all been developed with the involvement of some major international publications, such as The New York Times, The Washington Post, and Mashable, to name a few.

Essentially, it seems somewhat similar to Google News or, in any case, a kind of aggregator for grouping multiple information sources.
The release of the “Moments” feature is expected to arrive in Europe in the coming weeks, and there is speculation about which Italian media partners will be involved or if this new option – after its US trial – will be “exported” to our country and continent with some modifications compared to its current usage.
