Nexus S, the so-called “googlephone”, arrives in Italy and does so as a preview in Vodafone stores. The smartphone – designed by Samsung but branded by Google – can be purchased both in conjunction with specific plans and free from contractual ties.

The device will be available for purchase starting next week, with various options available:
– You can get the Nexus S with the “Piu’ Smart con Vodafone” offer, at a price of 29 euros per month for 24 months. Internet traffic will be included in this price.
– You can purchase the Nexus S without having to sign any contract: in this case, the price will be 549 euros.
We confirm the leak that the Nexus S arriving in Italy will not be equipped with a 4-inch SuperAMOLED screen.
Finally, to supplement the information already provided about the Nexus S in our previous article, we inform you about the Near Field Communication (NFC) capability of Google’s new smartphone. This means that, in the presence of another device compatible with this technology, the Nexus S is capable of receiving and sending information.
