Google and Motorola present the new Moto X smartphone: here are the official features and price of the Google Edition.
After months of rumors and anticipation, the Moto X is officially ready and has been presented. Born from the close collaboration between Google and Motorola, the new smartphone has not disappointed but has also not overly surprised industry observers, as many of the technical specifications leaked in recent weeks have proven accurate and thus confirmed. There is considerable disappointment from the European public, however, as the decision by Motorola and Google to launch the Moto X exclusively on the US market, completely excluding the rest of the world and therefore Europe, has been formalized. Motorola will likely bring a similar device to our continent, a cheaper and therefore more “limited” model compared to the American Moto X. However, this is still purely hypothetical, making the discontent of potential users more understandable.
Regarding the Moto X features, here are the main ones, summarized:
– Android 4.2.2 operating system;
– S4 Pro Dual Core CPU;
– 2 processors (one for voice recognition, the other for management);
– Adreno 320 GPU;
– 2 GB of RAM;
– Internal storage available in 16 GB or 32 GB versions;
– 4.7-inch Super AMOLED display with HD-Ready resolution of 1280×720 pixels;
– 10-megapixel ClearPixel main camera;
– 2-megapixel front camera;
– Bluetooth 4.0;
– LTE (4G networks);
– NFC;
– 2100 mAh battery. Regarding the Moto X price, it’s necessary to distinguish between two types of purchase: without a contract, or with a contract with AT&T, which holds the exclusive. Here are the detailed specifications:
– Price of 16 GB Moto X without contract: 575 dollars;
– Price of 32 GB Moto X without contract: 630 dollars;
– Price of 16 GB Moto X with AT&T contract: 199 dollars;
– Price of 32 GB Moto X with AT&T contract: 249 dollars.
