Google Nexus 7 16GB, record-breaking tablet: stock depleted

Sales temporarily suspended for the Google Nexus 7 16GB: demand was so high that stock has already run out.

It is already a record for the launch of Google Nexus 7, the new tablet from the search engine giant: sales, since its debut on the Google Play Store, have been so successful that the company has suspended its distribution.
The reason is simple: stock has already run out, a sign of decidedly massive demand from the market.
In reality, it is a specific model that attracts more than others: the record-breaking tablet is the Google Nexus 7 16GB.
In fact, when trying to order the 8GB model, no problems of any kind arise; for the 16GB version, however, you immediately encounter the “Coming soon” indication.
Users – or aspiring users – have therefore shown a decided preference for the top-of-the-range model, the $249 one: it will be the 16GB of internal memory that has attracted the most, but despite predictions, it was not the cheapest $199 model that attracted buyers.

In both cases, we are talking about the latest generation tablets, equipped with the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system and the powerful Tegra 3 processor.
Google has not disclosed figures: it is not yet known how many units of the Google Nexus 7 have been sold so far, but just a few days ago Eric Schmidt spoke of enormous sales volumes in the first week of availability alone.
The stock has run out not only in warehouses directly managed by Google but also at authorized points of sale: the tablet is also unobtainable at GameStop, Tesco, Staples, Sam’s Club, B&H, Kmart, and Best Buy.
A brilliant debut is therefore announced for the Italian market as well, and more generally for the European market: in our country, we will have to wait until August or early September to be able to purchase the new Google Nexus 7 tablets.
