Google is also focusing on games for its social network: Sudoku, Poker, and many other games are arriving on Google+, available on a specially created page.
Google continues developing its social network and this time it seems serious: the news of the day is that Google+ is enriched with games. Those little games that have kept Facebook users glued for hours to their virtual gardens and pixel towns are also landing on Google+, with a selection of interesting titles including Angry Birds.
This is perhaps Google’s big hit that could be most appreciated by users, considering the worldwide success of the angry birds saga.
The introduction of games on Google+ was announced by Google’s own staff, via corporate blog explaining that a special section dedicated to games has been created, where it will be possible to check scores and preferences of games also of your friends and contacts. To access it, just press the button that will soon appear for everyone, positioned next to the current ones related to “Home”, “Profile”, “Photos” and “Circles”. In reality the situation is updating, so some users might already have access to the special page: to these users, Google invites to try it and send feedback.
So if games become part of the Google+ usage habits, does it mean we will get notifications as soon as one of our friends does some action in this regard?
Google says you won’t find your personal stream flooded with games: only some information related to games personally played will end up on the feed, while if you want to know more, you will have to move to the page created specifically for this.
Currently the games available on Google+ are:
– Zynga Poker;
– Angry Birds;
– Zombie Lane;
– Sudoku;
– Wild Ones;
– Edge World;
– Monster World;
– Dragons of Atlantis;
– Flood-It;
– Bejeweled Blitz;
– Collapse! Blast;
– Crime City;
– Bubble Island;
– City of Wonder;
– Dragon Age Legends;
– Diamond Dash.
So far the news for Google+ users; as for developers, Google invites you to participate in the game platform development project, with new proposals and titles.
