Fujifilm Teleconverter FUJINON XF2X TC WR is a high-performance teleconverter capable of doubling the focal length of the lens it is mounted on. Featuring an excellent optical construction with 9 elements in 5 groups, it maintains the optical performance of the original lens.

Thanks to its design that integrates well with the compatible lens it is mounted on, the teleconverter is dust and weather resistant and can operate in temperatures down to -10°C; this allows it to be used outdoors safely when mounted on camera bodies like the X-T1 and X-Pro2 and the XF50-140mmF2.8 R LM OIS WR and XF100-400mmF4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR lenses. 

The high-quality construction of the teleconverter has been developed with the X system in mind. When combined with a compatible FUJINON lens, the two products appear as a single lens.

FUJINON XF2X TC WR Teleconverter, features

• High-quality images that maintain the optical performance of the original lens
• Consisting of 9 elements in 5 groups, it maintains the optical performance of the original lens.
• By using parameters for optimal image rendering, relative to the general characteristics of the lens and the 2x teleconverter, excellent performance with superb aberration suppression will be achieved.
• When the teleconverter is attached, the aperture requires a larger opening by two f-stops; the display and shooting information will show the change in aperture and focal length.
• Using the 2x teleconverter on the XF50-140mmF2.8 R LM OIS WR lens enables phase detection AF.
• Using the 2x teleconverter on the XF100-400mmF4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR lens enables contrast AF. With autofocus performed by the image sensor through the “Live View” mode of mirrorless cameras, accurate focusing with a shallow depth of field is possible at super-telephoto focal lengths.
• The performance of the optical image stabilizer
• The addition of the teleconverter does not alter the performance*² of the lens’s optical image stabilizer.
• Using the teleconverter with FUJIFILM X-T1 or X-Pro2 cameras and the FUJINON XF50-140mmF2.8 R LM OIS WR or XF100-400mmF4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR lenses, its weather-resistant characteristic remains unaffected.

For the XF50-140mm F2.8 R LM OIS WR and XF100-400mm F4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR lenses, a firmware update is required to ensure full compatibility. The availability of this firmware is planned for early June 2016. Before updating the lens firmware, ensure that the camera is updated to its latest firmware.
