The Cybersecurity Summit 2016 edition in Milan, organized by The Innovation Group on May 24th at the NHow Hotel in Via Tortona 35, offers an opportunity to understand the latest trends related to the evolution of cybercrime, new vulnerabilities, and how to exploit them; to learn how to evolve Cybersecurity and counter targeted attacks; and to adopt the most effective Incident Handling, Intelligent Defense, and DDoS Mitigation measures proposed by the industry.
The Summit will be a unique opportunity to meet top Italian and international experts, share experiences, and network.
The topics that will be addressed include:
- Reducing the attack surface, potentially limiting unwanted access to data and applications, segmenting networks, and using encryption where appropriate.
- Communicating cyber risk management priorities to the Board and corporate Risk Management.
- Improving the productivity of the security team through Cybersecurity Automation.
- Focusing on the end-user experience, meaning implementing security that considers the human factor and does not hinder user activities.
The day will open with a speech by Ezio Viola, CEO of The Innovation Group, on Cyber Risk Management Trends, presenting the results of a survey conducted in 2015 by TIG – Deloitte on a sample of Italian companies.
This will be followed by a round table discussion, “SECURITY TO SUPPORT BUSINESS DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION,” featuring Francesca Bonora, Head of ICT Security Governance and Fraud Prevention, UniCredit; Roberto Cosa, CSO, Security Director, and IS Committee Chairman, H3G; and industry-leading ICT companies such as: Elio Molteni, Senior Solution Strategist, CA Technologies; Miguel Suarez, ‎Presales Manager Italy & Iberia, Symantec; and Gastone Nencini, Country Manager, Trend Micro.
Alessandro De Felice, Chief Risk Officer, Prysmian – President of ANRA, will address the topic “The New Frontiers of Cyber Risk Management: Integration with ERM and Risk Financing,” followed by a round table with Michele Colajanni, Professor, University of Modena and Reggio Emilia; Stefano Scoccianti, ‎Enterprise Risk Manager, Hera; and Mauro Torri, CRO, Italcementi Group. Critical aspects such as setting up Risk-based cybersecurity, integration between cyber risk management and ERM, Board involvement in these topics, predicted evolutions for Cyber risk management, and transfer with cyber insurance will be discussed.
Subsequently, Raoul Brenna, Head of Information Security and Infrastructures Practice, CEFRIEL – Politecnico di Milano, will speak about “(In)Security of Things – From wearable to SmartGrids… New internetworking with old flaws”, discussing how new internet-connected devices can become a bridge for launching cyberattacks against critical resources. The last round table of the morning will focus on how to respond to the new frontier of cyber threats (APT, RANSOMWARE, DDoS ATTACKS) with optimized Active Defense, and the opportunities offered by intelligence-driven cybersecurity. Participating in this round table will be: Dario Tizzanini, Head of Governance & ICT Security, Snam; Massimo Argenti, Team Lead Enterprise, Forcepoint; and Rodolfo Rotondo, Business Solution Strategist, VMware.
The afternoon will begin with a presentation by Luca Allodi, Research Fellow, University of Trento, titled “Risk vs Rule-based security policies: the case of software vulnerabilities.” This will be followed by a presentation, “Security Ratings for your Business,” with Cesare San Martino, Head of the competence center at Eurosel Moma, and Giovanni Signorelli, Head of Information Security and Compliance at Snam. Paolo Emiliani, ICT Security Manager at Positive Technologies, will present on “Breaching critical and enterprise infrastructures, even from sensitive content or activities, becomes easier every day. Is there a defense method?”
This will be followed by presentations from Giorgio Ancona, Head of Big Data & Security, Head of Strategic Alliances, Innovation & Communication, Atos, and Nicola Cavallina, Channel Manager, Radware, on Market Leading Attack Mitigation Solution: The multilayered defense: Staying Ahead of Today’s Complex Threats. David Gubiani, ‎Security Engineering Manager Italy, Check Point, will speak about 360° Security, one step ahead.
The final session of the afternoon will feature Israeli companies, sponsors of the event, who will discuss the evolution of the international cyber threat landscape with presentations from Zori Kor, Vice President, ASERO Worldwide – former Israeli Security Agency (ISA); Erez Braun, Territory Sales Manager, Cynet Security; Yaron Oliker, CEO and co-founder, Unbotify; and Ran Ohayon, Regional Director, Checkmarx.
