Facebook’s response to Google arrives regarding the issue of the API block that allows the export of personal contacts from Gmail to Facebook.

Facebook’s response was not long in coming, after Google’s decision to block APIs useful for exchanging information and exporting data from Gmail to one’s Facebook profile.
More than a response with press releases and words, the reaction came in practice: Facebook has indeed developed a new method to circumvent the restriction, still allowing data to be retrieved from Google Contacts.
In simple terms, instead of accessing data directly and automatically as before, you just need to download and save the contact list retrieved from Gmail to your PC, and then upload everything to the social network. This is possible, as it is a normal backup procedure allowed by Gmail.
It is quite obvious to assume that from Google’s offices it would not be difficult to “plug the leak”, however, rumors suggest that the process is not immediately possible at the moment: closing this sort of secondary access would cause probable anomalies in the management of the CSV file. This would mean compromising the correct execution of any backup operations performed by Gmail service users. Therefore, at least for the moment, the workaround developed by Facebook is valid, until Google makes its next move.
