The market launch of the Asus Eee PC X101, the new netbook synonymous with lightness, is underway: incredibly thin, it weighs only 1.2 kg. Here are the price of the Asus Eee PC X101 and its features.
Asus is launching a new netbook that, at first glance, hints at how manageable and portable it is: the Asus Eee PC X101 is indeed slim, with a maximum thickness of 18 millimeters.
This means it’s also light, weighing just 1.2 kg.
It’s perfect for those who use their netbook everywhere, needing to carry it around constantly, all combined with large storage capacity: its hard drive is 320GB.
Regarding the processor, it’s an latest-generation Intel Atom Dual Core N570, accompanied by 1GB of DDR3 memory and the Microsoft Windows 7 Starter operating system with Office Starter.
Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, and the removable 3-cell lithium-polymer battery (2.6mAh) ensures up to 4 hours of use.
Let’s look at the most immediately visible features: the screen is a 10.1-inch LED-backlit WSVGA (1024×600 resolution); there’s a rather large touchpad, and the keyboard is ergonomic with island-style keys. It also features an integrated 0.3 Megapixel webcam, digital microphone, and built-in stereo speakers.
It has two USB 2.0 ports, a Card Reader: MMC/SD (SDXC), a VGA, a 10/100/1000 Mbps Gigabit LAN, and two Audio Jacks (headphone/microphone).
Available colors are white or red, and the chassis’s finish features a three-dimensional texture to minimize fingerprints and damage from scratches.
All that’s left is to announce the price of the Asus Eee PC X101: 249 Euros, including VAT.
