Asus has presented the Asus Eee PC 1225B and launched it in the European market: the netbook will also be available in Italian stores, at a suggested retail price from the company itself.
Asus Eee PC 1225B is one of Asus’s new netbooks, featuring a very sleek and compact design.
The display is 11.6 inches, framed by details that are obviously part of the external chassis, initially chosen in matte silver. However, other colors should arrive on the market in the coming weeks: the netbook is expected to be produced in red, white, black, and charcoal grey.
The processor is an AMD Fusion E-450 at 1.65 GHz, supported by the AMD Radeon HD 6320 GPU and AMD Turbo Core.
Regarding memory, it features 2GB of RAM, while the storage offers a capacity of 250 GB. The default operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium.
There is also a webcam, next to which a small LED can be observed: when lit, it indicates that the webcam is powered on and functioning, making the netbook user fully aware so as to avoid inadvertent webcam activations without conscious knowledge.
On the left side, you’ll find the ports: we can count 2 USB 3.0 ports, an Ethernet input, and an HDMI output. On the right, we can see the audio input (jack), a USB 2.0 port, an SD card slot, and VGA. Finally, the battery is six-cell.
Currently, an Asus Eee PC 1225B is already on sale in Italy, but it’s a model with a less powerful processor. To get the version being discussed, you’ll need to wait until March, when it will be sold at a price of approximately 450 euros.
