Asus Eee Pad MeMo ME171 is one of the new tablets rolled out by Asus at CES 2012. Here is the essential information about its features.
Asus has unveiled one of its new tablets: it’s called Asus Eee Pad MeMo ME171 and it first saw the light of day at CES 2012 in Las Vegas.
Two versions will be released: one with 16 GB capacity, the other with 32 GB. The price, although not yet officially announced, will undoubtedly vary depending on the model with different storage chosen.
Regarding the processor, the Asus Eee Pad MeMo ME171 features a Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8260 at 1.2 GHz, a powerful dual-core that interfaces with the Android 4.0.1 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. Everything runs on 1 GB of RAM: decidedly a tablet that, on paper, has excellent characteristics to be defined as powerful.
As for the display, we are looking at a 7-inch IPS Touchscreen with a resolution of 1280Ă—800 pixels, and it includes a useful accessory for those who want to write by hand: a specific capacitive stylus pen has indeed been designed.
The camera is 5 megapixels, supported by a 1.2-megapixel front camera useful for making video calls.
The connectivity features include a micro-USB port, a micro-HDMI port, and a microSD slot. Regarding web access and connection methods, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 2.1, and GPS are noteworthy.
The release of the Asus Eee Pad MeMo ME171 will not happen before the second quarter of 2012, and it is not yet known exactly when it will reach European stores.
The anticipated selling price is also unknown.
