The Prada Fashion Phone arrives, a device created in collaboration with LG, with the probable name LG Prada K2.
LG and Prada have renewed a partnership that will lead to the release of a new mobile device: in the first half of 2012, the new Prada Fashion Phone will arrive on the market, a device that the two companies have simply called PRADA phone by LG 3.0 in this initial phase, but which some rumors indicate as “LG Prada K2“.
It is not the first time that a phone has emerged from the collaboration between Prada and LG: back in 2007 and 2008, the PRADA phone by LG 1.0 and the PRADA phone by LG 2.0 were sold, respectively, which were quite innovative in their own way.
It is enough to consider that the PRADA phone by LG 1.0 featured a 3-inch touchscreen display, a vanguard feature for the market at that time. It is not by chance that this device is currently exhibited in two major museums: at the MOMA in New York and at the MOCA in Shanghai.
The announcement of the renewed partnership has not revealed any technical details about the new smartphone, but from the first leaked images – relating only to drawings and not prototype photos – the device appears to have a rather large screen, at least 4 inches, if not more.
Regarding the operating system, there are rumors that it could be Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).
The hypotheses will likely be confirmed or denied in the coming weeks.
