Thanks to an agreement between Amazon and Twitter, a chirp will be enough to purchase on Jeff Bezos’s platform.
Some swear this agreement will bring good news to the world of online shopping. Others, at least in Italy and in the immediate future, are skeptical. But the initiative has been launched. We are referring to the agreement between Amazon and Twitter, thanks to which it will be possible to purchase on the world’s most renowned e-commerce platform with just one tweet.
The functionality is very simple. It will be enough to reply to a purchase link with the hashtag #AmazonCart. Simple and immediate. Its arrival in Italy is expected soon; meanwhile, the initiative is already ready in other markets.
However, many perplexities remain regarding the actual scope of the new initiative, which to many resembles more of a marketing gimmick than anything else, given that both corporations are seeking additional business models. Twitter, on the other hand, is showing its desire to find new opportunities with graphical changes that have recently moved much closer to Facebook. Certainly, the new layout was launched for reasons related to advertising, which, in its current state, remains the main revenue stream for the microblogging platform.
Amazon, for its part, is seeking new alliances and opportunities. After offering various professional sellers the ability to distribute their products on its platform, here comes the agreement with Twitter.
In the meantime, for those who want to understand the new AmazonCart more closely, a video is available, which we show below.
