IBS launches the new ebook reader LeggoIBS AQUA, characterized by its resistance to water and other external agents.
On the occasion of the annual Turin Book Fair, IBS took the opportunity to showcase a new ebook reader.
Its name is LeggoIBS AQUA and it is characterized by its resistance to external agents, specifically it is a waterproof device, therefore water-resistant.
Perfect for beach holidays, LeggoIBS AQUA is also resistant to dust and sand, making it a versatile ebook reader that is ready for outdoor life.
As for its technical specifications, LeggoIBS AQUA is built using a 6-inch e-ink Pearl Film Touch screen with 800×600 resolution.
The processor is 1 GHz, the operating system is Linux 2.6, it offers Wi-Fi connectivity and the internal memory is 4 GB, with a storage capacity of approximately 3000 books, based on a “practical” measurement. Inside this new ebook reader, IBS has decided to pre-load some texts: specifically, the Garzanti edition of Italo Svevo’s “La coscienza di Zeno” and Luigi Pirandello’s “Uno, nessuno, centomila“, in this case in the Giunti publisher’s edition.
The battery promises a duration of about a month after a full charge, and the supported formats are as follows:

PDF (including Adobe DRM), Epub (including Adobe DRM), PRC (Mobi), FB2, TXT, DJVU, RTF, HTML, CHM, DOC, TCR, FB2.ZIP - Images:
JPEG, BMP, PNG, TIFF.
The total weight is 170 grams and the price of LeggoIBS AQUA is 115 euros.
The ebook reader is currently available for pre-order, naturally on the IBS store, with shipments scheduled to begin on May 31, 2014.
