Amazon Prime Now: One-Hour Deliveries in Milan

Amazon takes another step forward in conquering the Italian market, extending the “Amazon Prime Now” service to Italy.

This service allows customers to receive ordered goods within one hour of the order and payment process being successfully completed.

Customers subscribed to the Prime program can explicitly request fast delivery, provided they adhere to certain conditions.

Firstly, while Amazon Prime Now has been activated in Italy, in this initial phase, it is only available in Milan and some surrounding municipalities.

Secondly, customers must use the Amazon Prime smartphone app to place orders and request fast delivery.

The third, and perhaps most important, condition is that delivery within one hour of order finalization incurs an additional charge of 6.90 euros, with a minimum order value of 19 euros.

Alternatively, customers can opt for a wider delivery window of up to two hours, in which case the service is free.

Regarding operating hours, Amazon Prime Now is available every day, including weekends, from 8:00 AM to midnight.

Due to the specific nature of the service, not all products are eligible for one-hour delivery. Product availability is clearly indicated on the product page before purchase.

However, the selection with Amazon Prime Now is very extensive. As part of the program’s launch, over 15,000 product types are already available.

Amazon also promises to expand the areas covered by its super-fast delivery service during 2016.
