The simultaneous translation sector apparently interests more than one IT giant.
While Skype has been working on such developments for many months, it has been learned in recent days that Google is also about to present a specific product in this regard.
In fact, it seems that the development staff of the Google Translate application is already on the verge of launching the unprecedented release that would allow for real-time written translation during a voice conversation.
The scoop comes from the pages of the New York Times, but details are scarce at the moment.
Neither the launch date nor the scope of any update is clear. It is not known, in fact, whether the instant written translation applied to a local conversation will be available only for selected languages or for the entire range currently covered by Google Translate.
The service – today – currently supports as many as 90 languages; however – generally – one can expect that launches of updates of this kind may initially only concern a few languages, the main ones, and then gradually see a progressive expansion.

After all, even on Skype, simultaneous translations are only available in the main languages, with a view to future developments.
No details, denials, or extensive confirmations are coming from Google circles, but usually, the New York Times has accustomed us to scoops with good foundations.
Certainly, the novelty would have a truly explosive impact, considering the already excellent diffusion of the app for Android.
