WhatsApp News: Message Backup to Google Drive

Backing up messages on WhatsApp is becoming simpler, with the option to also use Google Drive.

News regarding the latest WhatsApp update: from today it is possible to archive messages transmitted through this instant messaging app, by leveraging the cloud.
It was noted that with upgrade 2.12.203 – currently available for iOS users – entire conversations and individual messages can be easily saved, by transferring them to the Google Drive storage service.
You just need to mark the contents of your interest to then move them to your personal storage account.
The procedure is very simple and intuitive: all you have to do is press your finger on the phrase or the photo or the video you wish to save, so as to “highlight” it.
At this point, the usual menu will appear, but in addition to the classic options for copying, pasting, deleting, or forwarding, the new “Important messages” option, characterized by a star, will also appear.
Exactly as if it were a “bookmark” to which we are accustomed when using web browsers, in this way the content of interest will remain selected.

In this way, not only will you be able to find messages that you might consider useful in the future, but also to transmit them – individually or “in bulk” among those thus selected – to Google Drive.
Obviously, the possibility of proceeding in this direction presupposes that you are already the owner of an account on Google Drive, the cloud storage service from the Mountain View giant.
