Outbrain’s App Install Smartad now allows marketers to promote their apps to over 1 billion people within the trusted environments of the world’s most prestigious publishers.
Outbrain has launched a new advertising product that helps app marketers fully leverage the potential of the open web at a low cost. Delivering large-scale performance has long been a challenge for marketers eager for alternatives to walled gardens, especially considering the potential audience and premium environments of the open web. Since its Beta launch in June, Outbrain’s App Install Smartad has proven to generate greater results at a lower cost, with conversion rates up to 90% higher compared to standard native ads, at a reduced cost-per-acquisition.
The new elements of the ad format, combined with the targeting offered by Outbrain’s proprietary context and engagement with users’ real interests, allow mobile app marketers to reach the users most targeted to their business through an improved advertising experience, fostering both a return on advertising spend and higher lifetime value.
Outbrain’s App Install Smartad now allows marketers to promote their apps to over 1 billion people within the trusted environments of the world’s most prestigious publishers. Marketers can now effectively optimize for cost-per-install and other key performance indicators, less commonly available for campaigns in the open web and traditional display environments. Outbrain’s App Install Smartad features several new elements – including the logo, CTA button, and interactive GIFs – enabling a more engaging and seamless experience. It joins Outbrain’s suite of Performance Smartad solutions: Outbrain’s native ad formats powered by proprietary targeting using Outbrain’s interest map data.
Eytan Galai, Chief Revenue Officer at Outbrain: “For the first time, we are giving app promoters the ability to profitably grow their business outside of social networks. This new format is part of Outbrain’s commitment to offering new and innovative advertising experiences across our Premium Publisher network, based on the evolving needs of our advertisers for 2020 and beyond“.
This latest release demonstrates Outbrain’s commitment to innovation through advertising products, targeting tools, and optimization capabilities that respond to marketers’ needs, increasingly oriented towards diversifying their media mix beyond social media and user-generated content sites, such as walled gardens, where concerns about rising hate speech and conspiracy theories are growing.
“We have always been committed to a free and open web and will continue to support Publishers and Advertisers who turn to this channel to maintain a healthy and prolific revenue stream, independent of tech giants Google and Facebook“, stated Galai.
