Here is the list of HTC smartphones that will receive the update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
While we still have to wait a few more weeks, by the beginning of 2012 the latest HTC smartphone models will be able to benefit from the update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, the latest version of Google’s operating system.
First, the newest HTC smartphones in the high-end price range (and also in terms of performance quality) were considered, but apparently, the Taiwanese company is working to ensure that other devices can also take advantage of the Android 4.0 update.
It is therefore highly probable that in the coming weeks, other users and owners of HTC devices will be able to test the new operating system, currently running on Galaxy Nexus, the so-called Googlephone that was recently unveiled.
Which HTC smartphones are therefore being “promoted” with Ice Cream Sandwich?
These include:
- HTC Sensation,
- HTC Sensation XL,
- HTC Sensation XE,
- HTC EVO 3D.
For the sake of completeness, the names of other models also affected by the update are listed below, however, these are smartphones not marketed in Europe:
- HTC Amaze 4G
- HTC Rezound
- HTC EVO Design 4G.
It is therefore very probable that in the coming weeks, further announcements may arrive regarding more smartphones ready to make the leap to Android 4.0.
HTC has not announced a specific release date for the update, but it is likely to fall within the month of January.
