Fujifilm FinePix F850EXR: Price and Features Officialized

Fujifilm’s line of compact cameras is enriched with a new model: the FinePix F850EXR. Here are all the details.

Fujifilm has just unveiled several new cameras, and regarding compacts, here comes the FinePix F850EXR, designed particularly for travel enthusiasts.
Versatile, convenient, and with good performance, the Fujifilm FinePix F850EXR features a 20x superzoom equivalent to 25-500mm f/3.5-5.3, with a 16-megapixel EXR-CMOS sensor, a primary color filter, and the hallmark of Fujifilm cameras.
Images are processed by the EXR II processor, which promises speed and data acquisition accuracy, although compared to the previous model, there are no substantial improvements in this regard.
The camera’s profile boasts a thickness of only 36mm, making the device very manageable and lightweight, while still featuring a 3-inch display with 920,000 dots.
It’s possible to take burst shots – up to 5 frames consecutively – at 9fps, and naturally, it’s also possible to record Full HD video at 60 frames per second.

Certainly a camera to consider, with good performance and valid features, although it doesn’t represent a major change compared to the compacts also presented by Fujifilm just a few months ago.
As for the price of the Fujifilm FinePix F850EXR, it is 279 euros, as recommended by the company. For its commercialization, we will have to wait until April 2013.
