On **Facebook** the “Shop” button appears: a strategy for entering the world of e-commerce.
A new button is arriving among the features offered byFacebook.
This time it is not an option related to the social network and the relationships established in the strict sense, but rather to an external and probably profitable sector.
Indeed, the“Buy” buttonhas been spotted on the US platform: soFacebookhas made the big leap into e-commerce.
You will be able to shop directly from Facebook, taking advantage of the links of the “Buy” button present in the advertising banners that will appear – as happens every day for a long time – on the side columns or within your timeline.
In this way, you can buy something without even being “distracted” from social activities, as you will not leave the Facebook platform: the selection and purchase – as well as payment – will always take place on Facebook.
The staff of the social network giant states that payment will be secure and that credit card details will never be shared or disclosed to anyone.
So much so that at the time of purchase, you can decide to save your card details, to avoid having to enter them every time you want to proceed with the selection and purchase of an item.
The project is still in the testing phase, so it has only been launched in the United States. The companies involved in this first test period are few, mostly small and medium-sized US companies: there are no e-commerce giants yet, but it is possible that in the future the portfolio of online shopping realities may expand.
It has not been announced when and if the “Buy” button will also appear on the screens of PCs, smartphones, and tablets around the world: at the moment there is no information about it and most likely the Facebook headquarters will wait for the first US results of the project before proceeding elsewhere.
