Facebook Chat Integrated with Skype, News

Facebook chat embraces Skype: integrations between the two most popular social realities of the moment are underway. Obviously, all of this will be possible on the Windows operating system, but this should not be surprising at all.

Following the Antitrust’s approval regarding Microsoft’s acquisition of Skype, it’s time to continue discussing new applications of the world’s most popular VoIP telephony system.
Today’s news concerns integration into Facebook chat, something very useful for the average user but extremely appealing to observers of social media phenomena.
Two huge user bases meet so spontaneously that they can only generate a winning combination, regardless of the possibility of making free calls.
In essence, little or nothing will change for the end-user: you can always continue to chat on Facebook but you can choose to do so at the same time – with the same contacts – via Skype, profiling yourself as on FB.
Not only that: even if you wanted to use only Skype at a given moment, nothing would prevent you from expressing a comment or leaving a “Like” on your friends’ status, even if not directly connected to Facebook.
This is the most striking novelty of Skype version 5.5, not to mention the fact that you can directly call via Skype anyone who has made their phone number visible on Facebook.
Yet another move by Microsoft to conquer users of the largest social network at the moment: not only is the internal search engine on Facebook Bing (therefore branded Microsoft), but now user communications can also pass through a Redmond product, albeit recently added to the corporate portfolio.
