A tech-savvy developer discovers a welcome piece of news: the Facebook app for iPad is practically ready, likely to be available very soon.
Very soon even users of iPad will be able to use the Facebook application on the tablet: apparently the app is already basically ready but has not yet been officially announced.
The discovery comes from a developer, MG Siegler, who noticed the presence of new code, ideal for iPad, within the update of the Facebook application for iPhone.
According to him, the app is already quite stable, so its launch for iPad could be a matter of days.
Provided that there is a will to make it public: just some time ago the same Zuckerberg had expressed himself on the question “Facebook App for iPad yes or no?“. Well, the opinion of Facebook’s founder was negative, because – in his view – the iPad is not a portable device, like an iPhone or any smartphone.
However, according to current rumors, someone must have worked very seriously on the Facebook app for iPad, especially since the most tech-savvy users who have already installed it on the tablet swear that the performance is more than good, even though it is not a final version.
If these are the premises, one can bet on a sensational success of the application also on iPad!
The credit probably goes to the convergence of HTML5 code and code written specifically for iOS: certainly no small feat that deserves to be launched as soon as possible, for the convenience of those who use the iPad.
Speaking of comfort in use, it must be said that some photos circulating online show a very practical sidebar and clear and highly readable screens. It is true that the interface might be changed before any definitive release, although already the work seems very well structured.
We will not fail to report the official release of the Facebook application on iPad, as soon as it becomes available on the App Store.
