Speculation is mounting about the content of the Facebook-branded event taking place on Thursday, April 4th: will the Facebook Phone be presented?

Just a few hours remain until the start of the Facebook event, scheduled for Thursday, April 4th. The invitation sent to industry operators speaks of the presentation of a “new home for Android” and nothing more: a rather cryptic message that leans towards two hypotheses.
The first concerns the release of the first Facebook Phone, the second, however, aims more to draw attention to a new operating system or, in any case, a broader universe branded Facebook.
Despite past denials from the Facebook staff regarding the possible release of a Facebook-centric smartphone, some unreleased images have surfaced in these hours showing a new model of HTC terminal.
This is what is reportedly named the HTC First, revealed in preview by the always well-informed folks at “@evleaks” who posted a photo on Twitter, also included as accompaniment to this article.
What strikes is the design, very different from other HTC models: stark, minimalist, with rounded corners and, above all, without any reference to the HTC logo.
It is thought to be a smartphone equipped with the Android 4.1.2 system, with integration of the new interface specifically designed for Facebook.
The processor would then be a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 with 1 GB of RAM; a 4.3-inch display, two cameras (5 and 1.6 megapixels), and a 4G network module would complete the specifications.
The “@evleaks” source has always been accurate to date, but it is advisable to wait for Thursday, April 4th, to receive official confirmations – or denials – of all these interesting rumors.
