Google announces the arrival of a new useful tool in the fight against viruses, malware, and pitfalls that can be encountered during online browsing sessions.
It’s called Camp (Content-Agnostic Malware Protection) and it’s a new antivirus that clearly stands out from the more widely known ones.
Its peculiarity lies in the fact that Camp is fully integrated into Chrome, thus becoming one of the new constituent elements of Google’s browser.
This means that Camp operates during browsing, in an “intrinsic” manner, instantly and continuously analyzing downloaded elements, as well as those currently running.
Its operation is based on the reliability and reputation statistics of the sites offering data packages for download, drawing from a constantly perfected cloud list and analyzing file metadata.
If the system detects that the URL of the file of interest belongs to this list of dangerous sites, then Camp activates, proposing the cancellation of the download operation, thereby preserving the stability and security of the system.

It should be noted that Camp has not yet been officially released, only in a beta version: to date, 200 million users have tested this new antivirus, with a success rate for the new system on Chrome of 99%.
Since this data has been made public, it is reasonable to think that Google will soon provide Camp in release to everyone, but at this stage, it is not yet possible to know a precise release date for the new product.
