Asus Padfone, release date in Italy

The Asus Padfone will also arrive in Italy, following its commercial launch in the United States in April. Here are some details and the official denial of uncontrolled leaked price speculation.

Some time ago, we discussed the Asus Padfone, introducing it as a truly unique device composed of two peripherals that, besides interacting with each other, integrate perfectly to become a single unit.
Its arrival in the markets is certainly increasingly awaited, as its first official presentation took place last May 2011, during Computex 2011 held in Taipei.
Exactly one year after the event, we’re talking again about this strange but fascinating hybrid, as it’s now certain that Italian users will also be able to purchase the Asus Padfone: the company has indeed officially announced May as the release period for the device.
Although it was presented again for a second time at the MWC in Barcelona, the Padfone by Asus still does not have an established selling price: some rumors emerged in recent weeks, with some websites mentioning figures around 860 euros.
However, a definitive denial came from the staff managing the official Asus Facebook page, where, in response to questions posted by some interested parties about the hypothetical amount needed to purchase the “complete system,” it was replied that the price of the dual device will certainly be lower than the indicated figure.

Furthermore, it was explicitly stated that the official Asus website and/or the Facebook page or other social networks will release precise details on the selling price.
Meanwhile, the Asus Padfone will arrive in the United States very shortly, during the month of April: it will then be possible to make an estimate of the price.
