Amazon Underground: the best free apps and games now in Italy

“Amazon Underground” officially launches in Italy, a platform for free apps that still allows developers to earn.

After its launch and trial phase in the United States, Amazon Underground has now arrived in other countries, including Italy.
This is a new platform dedicated solely to free applications and games. Apparently, at least from the end-user’s perspective, this system doesn’t appear particularly new or innovative.
However, the news is quite significant because Amazon Underground proposes a new operational model compared to what already exists.
The system is indeed based on the actual usage time of an app downloaded by the individual user.
Even though these are apps and games offered in a free version, developers will still be able to earn, not solely through in-app purchases.
For every minute of actual app usage, the developer will receive a credit, thus incentivizing the availability of an ever-increasing number of titles – even quite well-known and “excellent,” so to speak – in a completely free format.
At the moment, to give an idea of the content available for download via Amazon Underground, we can list apps like Office Suite Professional 8, Star Wars Rebels: Recon Missions, Frozen Free Fall, and many others, totaling over 1000 choices for the end-user.

Those who wish to start using Amazon Underground for Android will need to access it through the official Amazon section, reachable at amazon.com/underground.
Due to Google’s terms of service, Amazon cannot include this offering within the Google Play Store.
