Google and the English Royal Wedding: a perfect “marriage” on the web! Google will follow the passing days leading up to the event thanks to the official website created with Google App Engine technology.
To follow the preparations for the Royal Wedding of William and Kate, Google is lending a hand by contributing to the maintenance of the official website dedicated to the event. The site http://www.officialroyalwedding2011.org was presented just today, for which Google provided its App Engine technology, a solution entirely in the spirit of the cloud.
The site, created with the synergy between Accenture and Reading Room, was conceived through the collaboration of Google in anticipation of the traffic volumes it will certainly generate, especially during the wedding day of William and Kate.
This portal will, in fact, publish all the news related to the wedding of the year, but above all, there will be ample space for the most anticipated glimpses of the day: photos of the couple and Kate’s wedding dress.
This will undoubtedly spark the curiosity of royal wedding enthusiasts, and in consideration of this, the site has been designed with these very needs for “resilience” and reliability in mind, even during periods of high incoming traffic peaks.
