The iPod Touch is about to return to being a star in Apple’s lineup: here is the new, revised, and colorful version.
In the absence of major news, Apple has apparently decided to reintroduce a product that has been out for a long time: the iPod Touch.
The news hit the industry press when it was realized that the device appeared on the American store of the Cupertino brand.
It is not yet possible to know if the same will happen in European markets and in Italy: at the moment there is no official information in this regard, but it is hypothesized that the “new” iPod will soon land on the Old Continent.
The quote marks are mandatory as, all things considered, we are still talking about the same type of product, without major innovations.
The music player indeed sees a slight restyling both from an aesthetic and hardware perspective.
Certainly noteworthy is the addition of the camera element on the back, which was missing from the previous classic model.
The new version of the iPod Touch therefore has a 5-megapixel iSight camera and the ability to shoot 1080p HD video.
Another element that stands out is the choice to launch new colors: in addition to the space gray already available in previous versions, it will be possible to choose from silver, blue, pink, yellow, and red.
Apart from that, its technological heart remains the same as the previous iPod range: the processor is still the A3 from the past, and the supporting RAM has not been increased.
The price, however, is decreasing, a sign that it is likely undergoing a strategic phase of target market expansion.
These are indeed the prices visible on the Apple Store:
- iPod Touch 16 GB: 199 dollars;
- iPod Touch 32 GB: 249 dollars;
- iPod Touch 64 GB: 299 dollars.
