Italian users can now purchase Google Chromecast: here’s where, at what price, and how.
Last July, on FullPress, we covered the presentation of Google Chromecast, the dongle designed by Google that allows you to transform your TV into a true smart TV.
At that time, Google, after announcing the release of Chromecast in the US market, had not made any statements regarding its potential arrival in Europe.
Good news has now arrived: it has been learned that Italian customers can also get Chromecast without resorting to alternative channels that have artificially inflated the price, which is already very affordable.
It’s worth remembering that Chromecast costs only $35 in the United States, a low and particularly attractive figure for such a product.
Chromecast will therefore be purchasable from Italy via Amazon.com: although the US platform must be used, it is possible to have the product delivered to your home, as shipping to our country has been officially opened.
Naturally, to avoid misunderstandings, it’s important to note that the package may be stopped at customs, as is normally the case with goods arriving from non-EU countries.
In this case, you’ll need to factor in an additional charge due to taxes and customs clearance.
In any case, when attempting to order Chromecast, you can see that the Amazon site already provides the final amount due: the price is 26.79 euros, to which 12.61 euros for shipping must be added, for a total of 39.40 euros.
At this point, the item “Import fees deposit” appears, relating precisely to customs: 8.28 euros.
The overall total will therefore be 47.68 euros.
