Google Project Glass, Augmented Reality Glasses

Google has designed augmented reality glasses: videos and photos of this unique innovation called Google Project Glass are beginning to circulate.

Sending emails without a PC, tablet, or smartphone; taking photos without a traditional camera or mobile phone; using a map for better orientation without a satellite navigator.
It might sound like science fiction, but this is the essence of the basic functionalities of Google’s future glasses.
Apparently, it’s now certain that Google is designing augmented reality glasses: the initiative is named Google Project Glass.
In very simple terms, it’s about a fairly close-fitting frame holding special lenses, on which some information appears.
On the upper part of the support, there’s also a camera, useful for recording videos and capturing the surrounding environment to contextualize your location.
Although Google hasn’t provided very specific details yet, it’s confirmed that the project is real and still in its early stages of development.
To give a glimpse of the potential of augmented reality glasses, Google has released a video on YouTube showcasing some everyday applications.

Regarding the impact on the real context, The New York Times has ventured a price estimate for this device, suggesting it could be sold for a figure ranging between 250 and 600 euros per pair.
It’s too early to make predictions, especially since the release date of these glasses is unclear: if the project truly sees rapid commercial development, we’ll certainly hear more about it in the coming months.
Here is the video demonstrating the functionality of Google’s augmented reality glasses.
