Nikon D610: price and features have been officially announced. Here’s a summary of what to expect.
Nikon has officially unveiled its new full-frame camera, the Nikon D610.
This is a high-end camera, certainly not intended for the general public but for professionals or enthusiasts with “an extra gear”.
Nikon D610 is the natural evolution of the Nikon D600, with a series of particularly significant improvements.
Let’s start by listing the main features of this camera: the sensor is a 24.3-megapixel full-frame CMOS that communicates with the EXPEED 3 image processor.
The pentaprism viewfinder effectively covers 100% of the frame, and regarding the ISO range, sensitivity ranges from 100 to 6400 (expandable up to 25600).
Two very important elements are worth highlighting: work has been done on improving white balance, and a very quiet camera has been achieved, thanks to a mechanism that greatly reduces the sound when taking a shot.
All functions can be viewed on the 3.2-inch, 921k-pixel LCD display, housed in a magnesium alloy body resistant to humidity and, above all, dust.
Another element that has seen a clear improvement is the burst shooting speed: it is now 6 fps, compared to the 5.5 fps of the previous model.
Naturally, the camera also performs perfectly for video recording, which in detail is 1080p at 30 fps.
The arrival of the Nikon D610 is expected in October, and at the moment, only the selling price in the US market can be communicated, pending the official announcement of the price in Italy: the price is around $2000.
