Samsung Galaxy Round, smartphone with curved display

Samsung’s first smartphone with a curved display is here: it’s the Samsung Galaxy Round.

A new smartphone from Samsung is arriving, with a decidedly high price but an absolutely innovative feature: its name is Samsung Galaxy Round and it boasts a curved display.
The screen is precisely curved and otherwise – starting from its size – it resembles a refreshed Note.
These are the specifications concerning the Full HD display with a 1920×1080 pixel resolution: it’s a 5.7-inch display (14.4 centimeters diagonal) of the “Super Flexible Amoled” type, which grants the wave-like effect of images, also known as the “roll effect”.
Regarding the rest of the technical specifications, it’s known that the Samsung Galaxy Round has a 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor supported by 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory.
The operating system is Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, while the interface remains the proprietary one, namely TouchWiz.

The main camera is 13 megapixels, while the front camera is 2 megapixels.
Battery life is guaranteed by a 2800 mAh battery.
The price is reported to be around $1000, but it’s not possible to state precisely how much the device will cost on the Western market.
Samsung has indeed decided to launch sales of the Galaxy Round only in Korea, starting tomorrow, Thursday, October 10th.
