A new compact camera arrives that, unlike many others in the same range, immediately stands out for its decidedly non-futuristic design, but rather one that harks back to the past: it’s the Fujifilm XF1.
It is a compact camera with a manual zoom, meaning its 4x 25-100mm f/1.8 Fujinon optical zoom is meant to be used exactly as a professional would rather than a beginner enthusiast.
Its sensor is a 2/3” 12 Megapixel EXR sensor that, thanks to the “Auto EXR” mode, adapts to any situation: the camera recognizes external conditions and selects from 103 settings, to deliver always precise and very bright shots.
Everything is processed by the EXR processor, which is also excellent for shooting Full HD videos or burst shots.
Easy to handle, the command dial allows you to adjust shutter speed and aperture settings, to fully customize each shot.
Everything will then be controlled thanks to the bright 3-inch, 460,000-pixel LCD monitor, made of tempered glass for robustness, scratch resistance, and at the same time good visibility.
All of this is “framed” in an aluminum body, with a coating that faithfully reproduces the effect of leather, in red, black, or brown.
The camera case is also included in the package, naturally matching the chosen color.
Regarding the price of the Fujifilm XF1, it is around 500 dollars in the American market and about 470 euros in the European market.
Sales will begin in November.
