A new high-zoom compact camera from Nikon is about to hit Italian stores: it’s the Nikon Coolpix S6400.
A new compact camera from Nikon has recently been unveiled: it’s called the Nikon Coolpix S6400, equipped with high zoom and a touchscreen.
The 16-megapixel back-illuminated CMOS sensor captures details even in low light conditions; everything is then processed by the EXPEED C2 processor, which promises sharpness and speed in operation.
The powerful and precise 12x NIKKOR optical zoom also comes into play, even when shooting videos: with this compact camera, you can create Full HD movies.
There are also numerous functions that can be applied before shooting, to select the best scene and automatically balance brightness and contrast levels, depending on the environment you are about to shoot in.
This is thanks to the 20 scene modes available and the AF system, but also to the high ISO sensitivity (up to 3200) and the optical lens shift vibration reduction system.
Everything can be selected via the screen, a 3-inch LCD touchscreen display (7.5 centimeters diagonal) with 460,000 dots.
With just a few touches, you can directly access functions as well as photo editing: after shooting, you can choose to apply additional effects to your photos, without needing to modify the image later on, as everything can be done directly in the camera.
Regarding the design, the Nikon Coolpix S6400 is sleek and compact (19.8 millimeters thick), easily portable even in a pocket. The body will be available in Italy in three colors: red, black, and silver.
The price of the Nikon Coolpix S6400 has not yet been announced, but its release is expected during the month of September.
