Acer Iconia W510 is one of the new tablets presented by Acer at the IFA 2012 event in Berlin. It is the little brother of the already known Acer Iconia W700, which we also covered here on FullPress: conceptually belonging to the same family, the W510 is the optimal solution for those with a lower budget and fewer demands, while still benefiting from a good quality product.
Acer Iconia W510 indeed presents itself very well, starting with its design: sleek and clean lines composed of an aluminum alloy body and white plastic accents.
The display is a 10.6-inch IPS type with an HD resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels.
The screen can be rotated 295 degrees when the tablet is attached to the docking station.
This tablet can thus become an excellent ally for gaming or work, relying on the presented accessories: there is also a portable dock keyboard included. All of this continues to ensure manageability and lightness, therefore extreme portability.
Regarding the technical specifications, the use of a dual-core Intel Atom Clover Trail processor with Intel Atom Z2760 is noteworthy, and the operating system will be Windows 8.
Although a certain release date is not yet known, it is hypothesized that the launch may occur just before the official presentation of Windows 8, during the autumn.
Acer Iconia W510 will be equipped with an 8-megapixel camera, a USB port, and an SD card reader.
Internal storage will be available in two sizes: 32 GB or 64 GB.
The tablet is also planned for sale equipped with a 3G connectivity module, in addition to Wi-Fi.
Regarding the price of Acer Iconia W510, there is no official news, but it is thought that it will not be less than $400.
