Toshiba Europe GmbH announces the availability in Italy of the new notebooksTecra X40 and Portégé X20W from theE-Generation series. Currently available in four different configurations – Tecra X40-E-11U, Tecra X40-E-115, Portégé X20W-E-111, and Portégé X20W-E-10E – the new models offer maximum performance and efficiency combined with an ultra-durable, ultra-slim, and ultra-light design.
Ideal for professionals on-the-go, the new Tecra X40-E and Portégé X20W-E models guarantee versatility, durability, and long-term performance. Thanks to the integration of the latest generationIntel® Core™ i5 processors (Tecra X40-E-11U and Portégé X20W-E-111) andi7 (Tecra X40-E-115 and Portégé X20W-E-10E) U-series processors as well as the exclusive proprietaryHybrid Cooling technology, the new Toshiba notebooks support the continuous evolution of business users’ working habits, guaranteeing the same level of performance and productivity, regardless of their location.
Designed to ensure the security of business data, the new Tecra X40-E models feature SecurePad™, a touchpad with a fingerprint reader, while the two Portégé X20W-E models install the webcam-IR for facial authentication through Windows Hello or Intel® Authenticate. Thanks to the proprietary Toshiba BIOS and TPM 2.0 encryption, users are further protected, and the risk of third-party interference, which makes the product more vulnerable, is significantly reduced.
To help business users stay connected and work efficiently wherever they are, the Tecra X40-E and Portégé X20W-E offer advanced connectivity features – including HDMI, USB 3.0 ports, a MicroSD slot, and second-generation USB Type-C ports on the Portégé X20W range – and can be connected to Toshiba’s new Thunderbolt™ 3 Dock. Furthermore, to maximize connectivity, the Portégé X20W-E and Tecra X-40-E offer all connectivity options, including integrated LTE support.
The newTecra X40-E-11U e Tecra X40-E-115, equipped with PCI Express SSDs of 512GB and 1TB respectively, and DDR4 RAM (2400 MHz) ensure exceptional speed. The 14” anti-glare screen offers superior viewing quality, and the most powerful configuration integrates a Full-HD touch display with In-Cell Touch technology, allowing professionals to navigate and interact with content without compromising the notebook’s design or display. BothPortégé X20W-E models, on the other hand, install 512GB SSDs and DDR3 RAM (1600MHz). They are also characterized by a 12.5” anti-glare LED display with Full HD resolution and touch functionality to further enhance the mobile working experience.
Within a slim magnesium chassis, these notebooks stand out for their honeycomb design, which increases their durability and security. Furthermore, their reduced dimensions and weight make them ideal for always carrying them around – the Portégé X20W-E has a thickness of only 15.4 mm and a weight of 1.1kg, while the Tecra X40-E is only 16.9mm thick and weighs 1.25kg – and the exceptional battery life allows for all-day work. Toshiba’s E-Generation range will be further expanded in the coming months with new configurations of the Tecra and Portégé series.
