**Surface Pro 3** made its debut during a **Microsoft** event: here are all the new features and **prices**.
Microsoft has unveiled all the features ofSurface Pro 3, the new tablet designed to position itself in the market segment between traditional tablets and netbooks, the latter increasingly in decline.
Surface Pro 3 actually has a 12-inch screen and, thanks to the kickstand accessory, it effectively becomes a full-fledged laptop, sweeping away notebooks and the like.
Speaking of the display: it has ClearType technology, its resolution is 2160×1440 pixels, and despite the sheer size of the entire tablet, overall, much overall lightness has been maintained.
This was indeed a priority for the staff who developed the device, and in fact, the thickness is 9.1 millimeters, for a weight of about 800 grams.
As for the technological heart, the tablet is equipped with an Intel Core processor which – at the user’s choice – can be configured from Core i3 to Core i7; the operating system is obviously Windows 8.1 and the RAM can be opted for in different sizes: 4 GB or 8 GB of RAM. The same applies to the internal memory available, choosing from 64 GB, 128 GB, 256 GB, or finally 512 GB.
There is a 5-megapixel camera on the back while the front-facing one allows recording video in Full HD 1080p.
The capacitive stylus and a version of Photoshop for Windows specifically for touchscreen devices make it a tool mostly designed for professionals; it is certainly a high-end tablet, and the prices of the Surface Pro 3 also prove this: starting from $799 up to $1949 for the top version.
As for its release, the first release will be on June 20 in Canada and the United States, while it will arrive in Europe at the end of August.
