Two new super-telephoto zoom lenses for Nikon are being added to the NIKKOR DX lens lineup: the AF-P DX NIKKOR 70–300mm f/4.5–6.3G ED VR and the AF-P DX NIKKOR 70–300mm f/4.5–6.3G ED.
Silent, precise, lightweight, and compact, NIKKOR DX lenses: the AF-P DX NIKKOR 70–300mm f/4.5–6.3G ED VR and the AF-P DX NIKKOR 70–300mm f/4.5–6.3G ED are the best way to discover the creative advantages of telephoto photography in DX format. The versatile 70-300mm focal range lets you get closer to the heart of the action, whether shooting distant subjects or creating nature or travel images. The ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass elements in these lenses ensure images with saturated colors, sharp details, and excellent contrast. Both also feature Nikon’s new, extremely quiet AF-P autofocus motor, making them ideal for shooting videos and photos. The AFP DX NIKKOR 70–300mm ED VR lens also includes Nikon’s VR optical stabilization technology, ensuring consistently sharp images, even when shooting at maximum telephoto range. Finally, their compact design makes them easy to carry, handle, and perfectly balanced when used with Nikon’s smaller digital SLRs*.
Nikon stated: “The new AF-P NIKKOR 70–300mm lenses are perfect for photographers who want to gain experience and have fun with telephoto shooting. In addition to being the first to employ the Nikon AF-P autofocus motor, these telephoto lenses feature a compact design, which reduces their weight.” Autofocus Motor Nikon’s autofocus motor ensures smooth and fast autofocus: when zooming to take a photo, subjects are focused quickly and easily, while when recording video footage, the motor allows for smooth focus changes from subject to subject, without any mechanical noise from the lens being audible in the film. Simplified Control, Lightweight and Compact Design Both of these super-telephoto lenses are very intuitive and particularly suitable for beginner photographers who can easily switch between autofocus and manual focus via the camera’s menu**. With no selector switch on the lens barrel, there’s no risk of accidentally changing settings when it’s time to shoot. Furthermore, these lenses are very lightweight: the AF-P DX NIKKOR 70–300mm f/4.5–6.3G ED weighs just 400g, while the AF-P DX NIKKOR 70–300mm f/4.5–6.3G ED-VR weighs 415g.
