The new Nikon Z 6II Essential Movie kit is designed to provide videomakers with all the fundamental tools to take their video content to the next level and achieve maximum creative expression.
The new Nikon Z 6II video kit includes the Nikon Z 6II full-frame mirrorless camera with RAW video output already activated, the Atomos Ninja V HDMI recording monitor, the Nikon FTZ mount adapter, a SmallRig quick-release camera cage e and key accessories for any videomaker, such as a dual battery.
The Nikon Z 6II offers superb video quality at every frame rate. It produces excellent 4K footage sampled from the sensor’s acquisition in full-pixel readout 6K. The 5-axis optical stabilization built into the image sensor works with electronic VR to provide maximum steadiness. Perfect integration with the included ‘Atomos Ninja V’ is guaranteed by the supported ‘Atomos Open Protocol’.
NIKKOR Lenses
Through the Nikon FTZ adapter, the qualitative features of F-Mount NIKKOR lenses can also be leveraged. Thanks to the camera’s built-in optical VR stabilization, even non-VR NIKKOR F-Mount lenses can reach new levels of sharpness. The wide Z-Mount of the Z 6II camera and the short distance between the mount and the sensor allow for the use of a wide range of cinematic lenses. From your favorite prime lens to a suitable zoom, for superior quality. All you need is the right mount adapter (accessory adapters are available from third-party suppliers).
Atomos Ninja V
You can now take advantage of flexible monitoring and RAW video recording in ProRes e and DNxHR formatssuitable for editing, record in 4K at 10-bit with N-log or simultaneously record 4K/UHD 8-bit uncompressed footage on the memory card and in Atomos. The kit includes a power adapter, additional batteries, and an SSD caddy.
Camera cage
The cage and top handle feature mounting holes of two sizes and ARRI-compatible accessory holes. The handle ensures continuously evolving shots for full freedom of movement to follow the subject.
Quick attachments
TheSmallRig camera cage features a quick-release system compatible withManfrotto, allowing for quick transfer to and from a tripod or monopod in seconds, to rapidly switch between different shooting scenarios. The Atomos Ninja V can be attached to the camera cage using the Magic Arm clamp, and the double ball head screw clamps can be adjusted for stable monitoring at any angle. A central butterfly nut locks or releases the entire arm.
Long shooting sessions
To avoid interrupting creativity, the 2 rechargeable Atomos batteries with 5,200mAh and the fast battery charger allow you to continue recording even during the longest shoots. An additional rechargeable Nikon EN-EL15c battery with 2,280mAh ensures the Z 6II has enough power for extended shooting.
