Nital is ready to launch the new Nikon D800 in Italy as well, a professional digital SLR whose main features and price of the Nikon D800 we present.
The release of Nikon D800, the new professional digital SLR in FX format, is just around the corner and will be available for sale in Italy by the end of March.
Minimal noise, sharpness, attention to detail, and a certain level of tonal range make it an ally for every moment.
Regarding technical components, let’s start with the sensor, a CMOS FX format (full-frame) with 36.3 megapixels. Special attention has also been given to ISO sensitivity: from 100-6400, extendable up to 25,600 (equivalent) and 50 (equivalent).
The result is a series of very sharp images that, thanks to automatic noise reduction features, do not lose quality even when using higher ISO settings.
All of this is managed by the “Nikon EXPEED 3” image processing engine, which can process large amounts of data quickly.
Each scene is then carefully analyzed thanks to the 86,400-pixel RGB sensor that recognizes human faces, ambient brightness, and surrounding colors, ensuring good shooting performance at all times.
Besides photographing, this DSLR can quickly “convert” into a video camera: it is possible to shoot videos of up to 20 continuous minutes each in full HD (1080p) at 30fps, 25fps, and 24fps, with 60p, 50p, and 25p options at 720p.
The notable news regarding video recording is that it is possible to separately refine audio thanks to the external microphone input and audio output for external headphones.
Furthermore, for the first time on a DSLR, it is possible to record video in uncompressed format with digital video recorders and external monitors, in live view mode.
Regarding the accessories for the Nikon D800, there are already several available to pair with it, purchased separately (thus not included in the package):
- Multi-Power Battery Pack MB-D12
- Nikon SB-910 flash
- Capture NX 2 software
- Camera Control Pro 2.
Finally, the price of the Nikon D800 currently seems to be $3000 USD: we will wait for its release in Italy to know the actual market price here.
