Sony Xperia, end of Android updates for many models: list

Owners of several Sony Xperia models will have to face the fact that the parent company will no longer regularly update the operating system on a dozen devices.
The news – although not officially announced via press release – is nevertheless official: the decision to no longer update Android on some devices is evident from indications on the official Sony website.
By accessing the specifications of some models, it is indeed possible to notice the phrase “latest and final version“, thus it is clear that the terminals in question will not see further updates.

In general, if we want to identify a constant, it seems that smartphone manufacturers are aligning with Google’s trend of discontinuing this type of support 18 months after the release of new devices.
