Samsung Z is the new smartphone from the Korean company, based on the Tizen operating system: there is no trace of Android.
News from Samsung regarding the smartphone sector: the new Samsung Z has been unveiled to the public.
This news is more significant than usual because, for the first time, Samsung has produced a device without Android, thus based on another operating system.
This is Tizen (in this case, version 2.2.1), the same OS developed for new interactive wearable devices.
The release of the Samsung Z is expected today, Tuesday, June 3rd, starting in Russia, however, at the moment, no arrival in other countries has been officially announced, so it is unknown if and when the terminal will reach Italian stores.
Regarding the technical specifications of the Samsung Z, the processor is a quad-core 2.3 GHz with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of native internal memory.
The screen is AMOLED type with a 4.8-inch diagonal and 720p resolution; the camera setup includes an 8-megapixel main camera and a 2.1-megapixel secondary (front) camera.
Connectivity is assured even on LTE networks, and for battery life, it relies on a 2600 mAh battery.
From an interface perspective, there seem to be many similarities with Android, at least judging by what can be observed from the first videos circulating online: essentially, the user experience does not show major difficulties or novelties, which is beneficial for those accustomed to the system developed by Google.
Further details are awaited regarding a possible release in the rest of Europe and the price of the Samsung Z.
