Images have surfaced about the existence of a new device that Sony is about to launch for the Google line: it would be the Sony Nexus X.
A few days ago, there was news about the arrival of a LG Nexus smartphone. The collaboration between the two companies seems to be well underway, but today a rumor has emerged suggesting that LG was not the only new manufacturer contacted by Google.
It is understood that a new device, a Sony, is also in production, which should be named “Sony Nexus X“.
The news comes from some leaked photos online, which show the terminal, with “Google” written on its back cover.
The hypothesis that Google would extend the design and launch of the next Nexus to multiple manufacturers seems increasingly reinforced; however, it could also be the start of a collaboration that will bear concrete fruits in the coming months and not immediately.
Something more might be learned about this in November, as Google will launch the new version of Android 4.2, which should be confirmed as “Key Lime Pie“.
Perhaps, during the presentation event, there will also be space to introduce the new Google Nexus smartphone, or perhaps to drop some hints, confirming or denying the current hypotheses.
Besides the photos, nothing else is known about the mysterious new Sony smartphone, except that it could actually be a specially reworked version of the latest Xperia T device for Google.
However, it must be emphasized once again that these rumors stem solely from the photos posted online; there are no authoritative sources to support or deny the anticipation: the photos indeed appeared on a Picasa album belonging to “Mutul Yeter“.
A source that could be very well-informed or could turn out to be unreliable: nothing is known about who this person might be.
