Security and Power Portégé X
Every device in the Portégé X series has been meticulously designed with power and privacy in mind. For unparalleled productivity, manageability, and protection, an optional configuration with the latest vPro technology can be installed. Furthermore, responding to growing webcam security concerns, dynabook has extended the availability of its webcam shutters across the entire series, and for even greater privacy, has equipped the X40-G with the exclusive new ‘privacy display’ technology, which narrows the viewing angle of the screen, protecting it from visual hacking, at the touch of a button on the keyboard.
The trio of new models features additional built-in security functions to meet Microsoft’s Windows 10 Secured-core PC requirements, including dynabook’s proprietary BIOS, TPM 2.0, and an optional smart card reader. Additionally, biometric authentication including a built-in infrared camera for Windows Hello facial recognition and a SecurePad with a fingerprint reader offers users further peace of mind against unauthorized access to sensitive information.
In addition to the latest core processors, a selection of memory and storage functions such as SSD storage, including ultra-fast PCIe and Intel Optane, allows the updated devices to enable fast and seamless workflows, even remotely.

Despite being equipped with a range of cutting-edge features, the new Portégé X series laptops do not compromise on portability and design. All three devices boast sleek, thin, and ultra-light form factors – starting with the 13.3-inch Portégé X30-G, weighing 1.05 kg2, the 14-inch Portege X40-G at only 1.25 kg2 and finally the Portégé X50-G, which combines the user experience of a 15.6-inch with the needs of mobile professionals thanks to a weight of 1.42 kg2. All devices in the series are also built with a robust honeycomb-structured magnesium alloy chassis, which has undergone various MIL-std tests. This, along with the devices’ impressive battery life, ranging from 14.5 to 18.5 hours3 and the option for additional charging via the Quick Charge function, allows professionals to not worry about their device keeping up with the demands of modern smart working.
Connectivity at your fingertips
All three notebooks come with a range of features that enhance connectivity to ensure maximum user productivity, wherever they are. Wi-Fi 6 offers greater capacity and higher connection speeds, and two USB-C ports enabled for Thunderbolt 3 provide various connectivity options. An optional Thunderbolt 3 dock and dynabook’s USB-C dock solutions finally provide additional peripheral connectivity.
