LG Fireweb: smartphone with Firefox OS

LG Fireweb is the new smartphone designed by LG equipped with the Firefox operating system.

LG has announced that its first smartphone equipped with Firefox operating system is ready.
It will be called LG Fireweb and will initially be distributed only in certain markets, particularly emerging markets in South America, starting with Brazil.
It is not yet clear, therefore, if this new device will also reach European, US, and Asian markets, which – in any case – would not be covered by the LG Fireweb distribution until at least the first quarter of 2014.
This smartphone runs on a 1 GHz Qualcomm processor, supported by 2 GB of RAM but with limited internal storage: a maximum of 4 GB is mentioned, certainly expandable but decidedly scarce as a base.
The display of this smartphone is 4 inches, with a resolution of 480×320 pixels, while the camera equipment consists of a single camera located on the back: a 5-megapixel one, with autofocus and LED Flash.

LG Fireweb is therefore a decidedly entry-level smartphone, and the price also suggests the same: it will be offered at the equivalent of about 200 dollars if purchased without a contract.
With a commitment to the Brazilian telephone company Vivo, however, it will cost only about 59 dollars.
